What you are buying
For a flat fee of $149 you receive a prepared document packet for one unclaimed-funds claim in one federal bankruptcy case. The packet contains:
- Application for Payment of Unclaimed Funds (Director's Form 1340), completed from the public court record for your case
- Certificate of service
- Proposed order
- A one-page instruction sheet: where to sign, what to attach, where to mail it
The packet is emailed to you within 48 hours of your order. That is the entire product and the entire cost. There is no second invoice, no percentage, and no ongoing fee.
What you do
You review the packet, sign the application in front of a notary, attach a copy of your government-issued photo ID and a completed W-9, and mail the packet to the court and to the U.S. Attorney's office named in the instruction sheet. There is no filing fee. The court reviews the application and, if it approves, issues payment directly to you.
What we do not do
- We are not attorneys and nothing we provide is legal advice.
- We do not represent you and we do not file anything on your behalf. We prepare documents at your direction; you file them.
- We never handle, hold, or receive your funds. The court pays you directly.
- We do not take a percentage of your claim under this service.
- We never ask for your Social Security number. It goes on a blank W-9 that you complete yourself and send to the court.
- We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any court or government agency.
You can do this yourself, for free
Director's Form 1340 is published on every federal bankruptcy court's website, there is no filing fee, and you do not need us or anyone else to file it. You can search for funds held in your name at no cost at ucf.uscourts.gov. We say this plainly because it is true, and because you should know it before you spend $149.
Our guarantee
- If the court returns your application because we prepared something incorrectly, we correct it and re-prepare the packet at no charge, for as long as it takes.
- If the funds turn out to have already been claimed, or the court holds nothing in your name, we refund the entire $149.
- If you change your mind before we send the packet, we refund the entire $149.
What we cannot guarantee
We cannot guarantee that the court will approve your application or that you will receive the funds. The decision belongs to the court, and it depends on facts we do not control — most often whether you can document that you are the person named in the record. A refund under the policy above is your remedy, and our total liability is limited to the $149 you paid.
Accuracy of amounts
Any dollar figure we quote is taken from the public court record and should be confirmed against the court's own free search at ucf.uscourts.gov. Court registers sometimes contain errors, outdated spellings, or duplicate entries.
Your information
We collect only what we need to prepare your packet. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone other than as required to complete the service you asked for. We do not ask for or store Social Security numbers, bank details, or payment card numbers — payments are handled by Stripe, and we never see your card.
Refunds and contact
To request a refund or ask a question, call or text (402) 431-2871 or email info@inkwelldiligence.com. Refunds are issued to the original payment method, normally within three business days.
